Services

We perform lead and asbestos inspections in full compliance with Maine DEP regulations and industry best practices. We also offer ancillary environmental services, including dust wipe sampling, bulk material testing, and clearance inspections to support renovation, demolition, or transfer. 

Qualifications

We are licensed by the Maine DEP as Lead and Asbestos Inspectors and certified as a Professional Inspector by InterNACHI—the world’s largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors. We also hold IAC2 Indoor Air Consultant certifications for environmental testing.

Sample Report

At the end of the inspection, we will produce a Maine DEP–compliant report for you. The report will be easy to read and clearly organized, including photos of all sampled areas, lab results (if applicable), and detailed findings related to lead-based paint or asbestos-containing materials.

A lead & asbestos inspection is a non-invasive assessment conducted in accordance with Maine DEP to identify the presence of hazardous lead-based paint and asbestos-containing materials. Our services include: 

  1. Comprehensive inspection of painted surfaces for potential lead-based paint. 

  2. On-site XRF testing (when applicable) to detect lead in paint.

  3. Dust wipe sampling in accordance with clearance standards (post-abatement or renovation).

  4. Inspection and sampling of suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). 

  5. Lab analysis by accredited facilities. 

  6. Detailed reporting required for real estate transactions, renovations, abatement planning or regulatory compliance. 

  7. Compliance with Maine DEP Chapter 410 (Lead Management Regulations) and Chapter 425 (Asbestos Management Regulations).
